Below is a list of various website resources I rely on for research and investing purposes.
Naked Trader – Highly recommended website! This is what inspired me to do this blog – most things I learnt came from this website. The man behind the website, Robbie Burns, definitely knows his stuff, having made more than a million from investing in the stock market! His books are well worth the read – in simple and plain english!
Investor’s Chronicle – A magazine I am subscribed with. Personally I have learned alot from this. The magazine gets published on a weekly basis and you can get electronic copy on iPad instead. Simon Thompson is one journalist who I really value in terms of spotting bargain shares. He has written a book – Stock Picking for Profit – which I also recommend buying.
ADVFN – The main app on my phone that I use on daily basis to view live prices and also to keep track of my current portfolio. There are similar companies out there but I quite prefer this.
CityAM – Although this daily newspaper gets published in London, I download an electronic copy first thing each working morning to read during breakfast. Often I learn interesting things which may affect the economic climate.
Investegate – An useful website to check shortly after 7am each working day to check for the Regulatory News Service (RNS) – trading updates, interim and final results are some of the news one can read.
X-O – The stockbroking website I use for my ISA Shares account – basically it is an execution only share dealing medium. It allows you to trade for just £5.95 (flat rate per trade). One of the cheapest out there and I have not had any problems with this. I use this to buy and sell all my shares. Quite basic but does the job just fine!
IG – A spreadbetting firm I use for the occasional flutter. This will not be part of this investing blog.
